“While the Fitness tree also contains stars that effect your combat, it’s mainly about how you move and interact compared to raw numbers. ![]() ![]() “The Warfare constellation group contains pretty much everything involved with altering your damage dealt, healing, and stat mitigation,” explains Brian Wheeler, ESO’s Combat Lead in the announcement blog post. For example, there are now only three constellation groups rather than nine. This means that rather than just pouring tons of points into all facets of your character to make them more powerful across the board, you have to make more choices now within each constellation. You’d spend these points on passive ability improvements in a massive constellation grid that would slowly grow your character’s power over time, but it never felt impactful due to how gradually iterative it was. ![]() These points were first introduced back in 2015 so it’s long overdue for an update. Instead, you start to accrue what’s called Champion Points. In Elder Scrolls Online, once you hit the “soft cap” of level 60, you no longer gain general character levels.
